How often does my kid come to therapy?

Research shows that consistency in treatment and attendance are crucial for making long-lasting changes. One time per week is the minimum recommendation for services, but this varies with each individual child as well as amount of visits allowed by the family's insurance company and policy.

How long will my kid need therapy?

There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to reaching goals in therapy. Each kid progresses at their own pace, but factors like consistent attendance and an extensive home program are proven to support progress. True changes in the nervous system take time, as does forming rapport and trust between the therapist and the child as well as the family.

How do I get a referral to be seen?
Anyone can recommend a family or child to KidPower in order to be put on the waitlist, but for an approved therapy prescription and plan of care, a pediatrician's or other provider's referral and signature is needed for evaluation and continuation of services.

What insurances does KidPower accept?

KidPower accepts almost all major insurances including but not limited to Blue Cross Blue Shield, Presbyterian, Cigna, TriCare, and Western Sky. However, allotted visits are influenced by individual insurance plans and providers, as well as other information, which can cause variation in how many visits are available to clients.
